David graduated from the University of Sydney in 1981 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He’s practised in Newcastle, the United Kingdom, and Sydney. During his career he has been heavily involved in volunteer dental work both in Australia and overseas in Balgo and East Timor. He is a long-serving member of several dental associations including the ADA, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
David was the founder of the National Dental Foundation (NDF) that provided pro bono dental care to disadvantaged Australians. When NDF went on to become the Australian Dental Health Foundation (ADHF) David and held the role of Deputy Chairman for a number of years. He remains actively involved with ADHF currently as the NSW chairman. Filling the Gap operates ADHF’s Adopt a Patient and Dental Rescue programs within NSW and the ACT.
