When Fabian arrived in Australia, he brought with him more than just dreams of a new life—he also carried the pain of an unfinished dental treatment he couldn’t afford to complete back home.

Struggling to find affordable care, he turned to his local charity for help. That connection eventually led him to Filling the Gap, where he was finally able to complete the vital root canal treatment he had left behind in his country.

“The people here are excellent. They have kind hearts and treat patients very well,” he said, after receiving care at one of the charity’s free dental clinics.

For him, the treatment was about more than just oral health—it restored his confidence. “They saved a tooth that shows when I smile. It gives me security, and it means I can keep my natural tooth. That’s incredibly important to me.”
