Kate Miranda is the Head of Public Affairs and Advocacy at Australian Red Cross. She leads the media, government relations and strategic communications teams. Kate is responsible for managing their strategic approach to advocacy and public policy matters, and communicating the work of Red Cross.
She has previously worked for ADA NSW as Head of Communications and Public Affairs and in the General Manager role for Filling the Gap. She is a passionate advocate for equity of access to oral health care and raising community awareness of the importance of good oral health. Kate specialises in corporate communications and organisational strategy and has more than 20 years’ experience in not-for-profit management, federal government advisory roles and media relations. Kate began her career as a journalist for the ABC.
